How do I restore a backup?
How you restore your files depends on which method you used to backup your files.
WARNING: Restoring a backup will overwrite any existing files and data!
Restore a Full Backup in cPanel
If you created a full backup in cPanel, we can assist in restoring all or part of it.
There is no charge for restoring a backup generated by you.
Restore a Home Directory Backup in cPanel
To restore your files from a Home Directory Backup in cPanel, please do the following:
- Login to your control panel and click Backups.
- Click the Browse button next to the option which says Restore a Home Directory Backup.
- Select the cPanel backup file which you want restored.
- Click the Open button and click the Upload button.
- Your website should be working again.
Restore a MySQL "Partial" Backup in cPanel:
To restore a database from a MySQL Backup in cPanel, please do the following:
- Login to your control panel and click Backups.
- Click the Browse button next to the option which says Restore a MySQL Database.
- Select the .sql.gz file which you want restored.
- Click the Open button and click the Upload button.
- Your database driven website should be working again.
